Max is a University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management alumnus turned entrepreneur. He built Kona from the ground up—starting with painting Section 8 housing projects on his own, and steadily growing it into one of the leading luxury painting brands in Minnesota.
"I started painting at 15, continuing all the way through high school and college. Over the years, I saw firsthand how unprofessional the painting industry really was.
So, over ten years ago, I set out to redefine what it meant to be a painter. Instead of just slapping a coat on the wall, we specialize in the finishes most painters can’t do - Roman clay. Limewash. Enameling. Full On-Site Refinishing. Dark & Moody Dead Flat Paint. Whole-Home Top to Bottom Finishes. - You name it, we have done it.
